About me

So this is my first post and my first attempt at starting my blog. I was born on a farm in Davie County and grew up in a home filled with love. We worked hard and those values were instilled into both my brother and I. We had animals we cared for and my most loved was always our horses. You can cure many problems and sold world issues on the back of a horse. Nothing like saddling up after a days hard work or a weekend and riding for hours on end. We were always either at some family members home or they were at ours. If I was not with my blood family, I was with my adopted family up the road, the Reynolds and the Revels family. They are still family to this day.

I have pretty much always been an overachiever. When I was a senior in high school, I drove a school bus because I lived at the end of the route and got paid to do this. I also sold Avon and worked at Hardees. Some things never change. I got married and went to work for the hospital in Yadkinville as a nurses aide. By the time I had my first child, I was working in radiology. I left there and went to work for an ENT physician while I was pregnant with my second child. Third child found me doing a round with dermatology.

By the fall of 1997 I was a mom of three children, divorced and raising them on my own with no help financially or otherwise. Family did help watch them some. I did not have my children for others to look after. I started my own business because I wanted to give them everything they needed. I took a leap of faith and have never looked back. I have been an entrepreneur since then.

Being an entrepreneur is not as easy as people think. It takes a lot of faith, discipline, and you have to not worry about what the world thinks about you. The world does not pay my bills. When I met my husband, he said "you do how many things????" Too funny. I love being busy so while this works for me, I would not recommend it for everyone.

I love my life. I try to make each day count. I love paying it forward and doing something for someone.

Stay tuned for more.
